Join the American Sternwheel Association

Joining the ASA allows us to pursue our goal of 'Helping to keep alive that precious bit of Americana, the Paddlewheel Riverboat'. Your dues not only help us publish our Newsletter and magazine, but also, helps us support many other projects. These include a traveling river education project, river museums, famous vessel restorations and more are under review. Your dues also help to support this web site.

Your membership in the ASA entitles you to voting privileges and to hold an office in the American Sternwheel Association. If you cannot attend meetings, you will still receive 4 issues of the ASA Newsletter and 2 issues of the STERNWHEELER magazine.

The ASA Newsletter contains information on current activities, the regatta and meeting schedules and any other information that is of a 'timely' nature. Click here for a 'sample Newsletter'.

The STERNWHEELER magazine contains articles about boats being built, what's been happening at regattas, historical events, vessels that are for sale and occasionally, a technical article on building some aspect of a sternwheeler. Click here for a 'sample Sternwheeler'.

Dues are $ 20.00 per year for the primary membership and $ 5.00 per year for each additional family member. All members are entitled to vote and/or hold office.

For those OUTSIDE the United States who wish to become members, primary membership dues are $ 30.00 per year in UNITED STATES CURRENCY to help defray the extra cost for mailing.
