Hull:  The hull is steel with a model bow and has 13 watertight compartments.  It includes a stainless steel framed front ramp which is hydraulic powered, that provides a ready made dock and serves as a platform to carry an automobile during extended cruising.

Hull Size:  65 ft. long by 16 ft. wide by 3 ft. deep and draws 26 inches

Paddlewheel:  Split wheel on a single shaft......each 12 ft. in diameter by 3 ft. wide.  There are 12 buckets per wheel.

Engine:  John Deere Diesel............80 HP

Drive Train:  Sundstrand hydraulic pump to hydraulic motor to Bevini 80-1 reduction gear to a final chain drive of 48-1 reduction.

Builder:  It was built by Benson Inc. at Parkersburg, WV in 1983.  The boat was designed by Stan Cole and Per Anders Nordstrom, a sailor and engineer form Goteborg, Sweden.  The boat was originally powered by a Case Tractor.

Superstructure:  All wood with two bedrooms, salon, kitchen and full bath on the main deck with a pilothouse and sundeck above.  The vessel is air conditioned and fully equipped for extended cruising and living aboard.

Misc:  The boat has a 6.5 KW diesel generator, 100 gallon fresh water and 150 gal fuel tanks.  The arched beam roof is covered with 1/8 inch fiberglass and has a rain gutter molded in as part of the roof.  The electrical system is comprised of 12 volt DC and/or 220 volt AC.

We spend the summer on the boat along with family and friends on the Ohio, Muskingum and Kanawha rivers.  We attend several regattas each year.  If you see us anywhere, you are welcome to come aboard for a tour.
