Engine: Electr. 5.9 turbo Cummins diesel, computer controlled, 6-cyl, 24-valve, 230 HP (could program up to 350 HP)
Drive Train: Twin hydraulic pumps mounted side-by-side on bell housing, electronically controlled from pilot house; large hydrostatic motors mounted outboard on each wheel shaft
Builder: Clark Boats of Bellevue, Iowa using Ike's plans and under his supervision
Cabin: The superstructure is entirely wood, with 6-inch walls. Main cabin (40x16) is very open and sleeps about a dozen people.
Misc.: Self-contained, new, diesel generator package; fuel oil furnace; air conditioning; wood-burning stove with pot-bellied stove in pilot house; 500 gal fresh water; 1,000 gal diesel fuel.
Began construction of hull and cabin in summer 2003. Completed engine and wheel work 2004 and 2005. Interior finishing completed winter 2005-06. Boat incorporates very large (21x40) foredeck to accommodate companion seaplane, making this the ASA's only aircraft carrier.
