This vessel began as a family project in 1983. It was intended to be a learning experience for the boys (9 and 11) and a chance to develop camaraderie amongst all. With this type of project, the boys not only learned valuable skills but, upon completion, they could enjoy the 'fruits of their labors'. It accomplished all goals! This vessel has traveled extensively and has attended many regattas over the 18 years (as of 2002) that she's been in the water. She's also hosted many fine meals and a bunch of great parties. She continues to be the focal point of good times when either of the boys (now young men) are able to make it back home.
