Home Port: Devola, OH. We dock here in the summer with friends Dick & Carol Manifold (Nora Jean). In the winter, we dock in Marmet, WV with friends Hoyt & Wink Fontalbert (Roy C).
Hull: All steel with model bow. 62' L x 14' W
Paddlewheel: 10' D x 7' W with 12 buckets
Engine: Westerbeke marine diesel--70 HP
Builder: The boat was built by Parlin Crain and was originally called the 'Buttercup'.
Superstructure: The cabin is all wood and includes a kitchen, main salon, head/shower and bedroom/
Misc: The Crystal Rose has an 8 KW Westerbeke generator, a washer and dryer, 300 gallons of fresh water and 290 gallons of diesel fuel.
We purchased the Crystal Rose in September of 2002 from John Varkony. At that time, it was called the 'Mary Isabel'. It is now named after two granddaughters. We spent the summer of 2003 paddling with the Nora Jean and the Roy C and look forward to many more adventures with them.
